Default Separating email and texts?

Please Login to Remove!

hi, sorry i tried to search this but didnt really know what to search and got no luck.

i just got my blackberry, im trying to figure out how to have separate apps or folders or whatever it would be called, to have text messages in one and emails in the other... right now its all just mixed together and makes it hard to find old text messages. also, is there a way to separate incoming and outgoing texts? my razor was much more organized than this and i wanna get my blackberry that way.

also, i keep everything on vibrate, how can i make it so it doesnt notify me when i get emails, i get a lot and its annoying, especially at 5am. thanks in advance.

Default Hi mate

Hey there

Regarding your first questions. in order to seperate you folders please follow the next steps

1) Go to messages

2) Options

3) General options

4) find where it says SMS and Email inboxes and select SEPARATE

Regarding your second question

go to profiles

select either OFF or vibrate. if you want to customize it more go to profiles and then advanced

select the profile you want to edit and make the changes you want. basically put every on mute

hope this helps

There are a few things you can do:

Hide outgoing messages in Options.

If you want to view only incoming hit Alt-I, for outgoing, Alt-O (works for Messages, your email icons and SMS/MMS icon).
