Default CDO issue

Please Login to Remove!

HI Guys,

We have a BB Prof installation ver 4.1.4.17 ver running on Server 2003

Exchange 2007 SP2 RU9 is running on SBS 2008 Sp1

we have a problem where sync from Device to Exchange for calendars is not working

checked permissions for besadmin account (initially this had been setup in every administrator group) this is now setup as view only admin and have run the powershell commands for send as rights.

interestingly if you check sendas management in the Exchange Management console for each mailbox the BES admin account does not appear?

the error in the MAGT log is as below

CDO 1.2.1 as been run on both servers.

any thoughts on this issue?

You've answered your own question ... this is a permissions issue.

Yes - it does appear that way - although all efforts to resolve this using normal methods have not worked.

I have also tried creating a new account and giving same rights as BESADMIN but still the sendas rights in Exchange manager do not show up..

any thoughts on this?

to see send as rights in ESM you need to enable the hidden security permissions.

You want to look in ADUC for a user after enabling Advanced Features in the View menu.

use ADSIEDIT , and apply permissions for besadmin account on your Exchange 2007 server

in adsiedit , browse configuration > Services > Microsoft Exchange > your org > Exchange administrative group > Servers > here you will find your Exchange 2007 servers

OMG ... why would you do that? You're telling someone that doesn't know how to do a simple permission add to go into ADSIEDIT? ... watch, one wrong click and everything is hosed.
