Default Battery question for the 8330 Curve

Please Login to Remove!

Hey everyone- I am a new BB user, about 4 months ago me and my wife switched for a regular flip cell phone to the BB Curve 8330. At first it was my battery was lasting all day, but now for the last week or so it seems that it falls off to about half more quickly than it normally did. Anyone have any suggestions on this, we are still very new to these phones and still learning. Thanks in advance.

Welcome to the forums.

Make sure you close out of all applications. Also, take a look at this link for some helpful tips:

What apps are running in the background? That generally drains it quicker.

Are you using them more now that you know what they can and cannot do? Are you starting the day with a full charge?

Might try a battery pull and let it reboot to see if that helps.

Thanks- I done the battery pull, I will see how that goes, how do I determine what apps may be running in the background? These questions may seem stupid but remember I'm really new to this thing! Thanks

Press Alt + Escape (Back key) it will show you what's currently running. Homescreen, Call Log, Messages, Browser, and BB Messenger will always show.

Do I press these at the same time or seperately? Another question that I have is what does it mean when the letters OS here on the forums. Is this a type or version of software? Thanks for all the help here.
