I received my new Blackberry 8700c last night from Cingular. I am upgrading from the 7100. I migrated the SIM card without any problems. The phone part works great. I then started configuring it to connect to our BES server. I got everything working (receiving emails, address lookup, and Calendar Sync) except being able to send mails from my 8700c (through the BES). I get a mail router error return message everytime I try to respond to an email through our BES. We are using Lotus Notes 6.5. I am able to send messages using the Web Client without any issues.
For some reason the BES server on my device put some funny characaters in front of my email address and behind it. We are running BES version 2.2. Here is what I get when trying to send mail:
0xLF2827zTesting0xL1A4z0xLF24z
This happens either replying to emails or creating a new email. It also happens when I put in the full internet email address.
I have called Cingular and was on the phone with RIM for a while. We reinstalled the handheld software. Now i get this mail router error message:
No route found to domain #2038CDE2 C™øö from server <server name>. Check Server, Connection and Domain documents in the Domino Directory.
I have had my BES Admin completely remove me from the BES server and re-add me.
I also deleted my Desktop (CMIME) service book entry and that didn't solve the problem.
Anyone have any ideas?
