Pin:Null & email setup only shows BB Enterprise server

Hi all,
I just bought a BB Bold 9700 and I am in the process of setting up the email and messaging.
I got two annoying problems so far:
1. In the blackberry messenger (instant messaging) Under 'Edit my info' it shows:
‘pin:null’ (and it won't let me change it)
2. In the setup wizard under 'Email Setup', the only option available is:
'I want to use a work email account with a blackberry enterprise server' (and it won't let me setup a personal account as described in the manual)
I bought this as a personal bb in the Vodafone store, and it is not supposed to be on a 'business' contract.
Could you please help?
