OK, sorry if these seem stupid questions, but I am not a BB expert, so for me these seem real enough problems.
I recently got told by me desktop manager that an update was available for my Bold. I promptly updated, and found to horror I was now the owner of OS 5.0.0.411 Platform 5.2.0.33

OK, so was I impressed, well it boots quicker, but then the problems started.
First with my SMS inbox!
It was full of text that I had sent, and grouped received texts seeming in random, with what seems like a speech bubble for an icon.
Not what I want.

All I want is my inbox to have RECEIVED texts, and not grouped, but in a nice list by date. Like it used to be

The problem of BBM messages appearing in my email message window I have sorted, but overall I'm not sure if this installation is fine, corrupt, or what?

Can anyone shed any light on my messages problem?

thats the way its supposed to be, and it doesnt group the sms texts at random. This is whats called threaded SMS, it groups the messages by the conversation. It's supposed to look and feel very similiar to BBM.

Ok I'm not an expert either and I haven't seen anything on here about an email server outtage. I upgraded last night got the new curve and they tell me there is a problem nationwide...and its been over 12 hours and still not able to set up my email. Any thoughts? Heard anything?

No its not - I think he's describing the same problem I had with OS5. The texts are randomly threaded ie it's not the same conversation. So I had different texts from different people all being lumped in the same thread so I couldn't actually work out who had sent what. Seemed completely random.

Fixed for a while after reboot, but soon misbehaving again. Tried separating sms and email inboxes - no luck there either.

Glad to see I'm not the only one!

I downgraded . Waiting eagerly for something less buggy....!

Did you try re-registering with the network - another thing OS5 didn't do automatically when I upgraded .

Options-->advanced options-->Host Routing Table--> Menu key and select 'register now'

Worth a try.

upgrade to the new os 5.0 beta or downgrade to 4.6 to fix the sms bug.
