Default WiFi not working after OS upgrade

Please Login to Remove!

So I upgraded from 4.6.1.10 to 5.0.0.411 everything went smooth or so it seemed.
After the final reboot and updates to my applications I have no wifi connection. I re entered my settiings and no luck. I can scan networks and the phone see's them I can select my home network and when I hit the connect button it sits ther for hours if I let it trying to connect.

I have 2 other 8900's ( 4.6.1.250) and they work just fine so no its not my network this happended right after the OS upgrade , I have googled the problem and I cant seem to find a soloution, anyone have this problem and can shed some light? I really like the new OS and would like to continue using it
I ask'd in the OS forum and tried to link it here but I'm not allowed due to low post count

I suppose that also includes assigning a static IP?

I was having problems with wifi under .411 - DHCP was the only way i coudl get the phone to connect. it could be possible you need to allow DHCP...

Else, you should consider wiping and reinstalling with .641 (its faster and lighter on battery!)

you are correct I'm running a static IP

I have downloaded these versions

8900M_PBr5.0.0_rel661_PL5.2.0.31_A5.0.0.411
8900M_PBr5.0.0_rel760_PL5.2.0.42_A5.0.0.461

cant seem to find a 641 version, can you point me to a link

there is your problem! it will associate just fine w/ AP's but for w/e reason no data will flow!

i had to use DHCP to get wifi working.

i do not know about static IP's in the new build i just linked you to, but i assume it was fixed. if i get time (not before thursday) ill try out a static IP on my netwrok to see if it still works.

Updated and working smooth, my only gripe is the screen lock now requires a password to function, pita but worth the hassles I guess as I dont like to pocket dial
