Default Earpiece dropouts constantly, any ideas on a fix?

Please Login to Remove!

My Blackberry Bold just started dropping out audio on the earpiece on the hadset. I hear a click then audio is dropped for a second then continues as normal. This happens every 5 - 10 secs during a call. If I put it on speaker phone the click still occurs but it switchs it off speaker to the earpiece each time. If I play music on the speaker the click occurs and it switches it to the headphone jack. If I use the headphone/mic jack it all works fine. Tried a reboot which hasn't helped.

Anyone got ideas on the cause and/or fix?

Thanks

Because if you had opened up the bold, you may have not fully connected one of the cables. Have you spilled water on it by accident?

It almost sounds like a headphone jack problem. Maybe use some canned air in the headphone jack to clean out whatever might be in there.
