Default Unable to send

Please Login to Remove!

Sometime over the weekend, nearly all of my company's blackberries have started refusing to send email.

It's reported that they are receiving correctly, but when send attempts are made this error occurs: "Desktop Email program unable to submit message".

I'm using BES, so sending email should not rely on any installed application.
Certainly, if it were one user I would blame that person. I have 16 Blackberries in the field and have gotten reports that 6 of them are doing this.

So, something must have changed a setting on ALL my blackberries over the weekend. does RIM push changes or config changes?

And.. of course.. what do I do to fix it?

Thanks,

I would have posted this in the BES section, you may get a quicker response. Unfortunately I have no information to help you, good luck!

That's a good article. But it didn't solve the problem for me.

Hello. I have this exact same problem. If you were able to resolve it, can you please share what you did?

Are you using BIS or BES? What carrier and model BB do you have?

The problem is with RIM itself and should be resolved shortly. When exactly? Tmobile says they don't know. I am having the same exact problem.

cardbird - you are combining two problems.

The RIM problem today was with BIS accounts on all carriers.

The problem here - which is COMPLETELY different - is for BES accounts (which were not impacted by the RIM issue today).

This problem is caused by a Microsoft patch to Windows Exchange (MS06-029) and has nothing to do with the RIM problem earlier today.

I just realized I gave some incorrect information. The BES version is 3.6. Does that change the information above...being an issue with an MS Exchange path?

Not a BES issue; the patch is made to Exchange.

I am having the same problem. Call Blackberry and they directed me to a microsoft article but to no avail. I am an admin account and have try the go-around as directed but that still did not solve my "send as" problem

Are you saying that that MS patch needs to be applied or the problem occured when it was applied?
