I have a phone 8330 that the Smiley Face 1 show on the upper display but there is no massage waiting in the BBM, Mail or anywhere. Do you know how to reset this without have'n to wipe the phone. DTS adv me to wipe the phone to reset it and that will remove music and pic that are not saved on the SD Card. Need yoyr HELP on this

It is most likely a friend request in BBM.

Yes but there is not anything there but the Icon and we have removed all request and contacts from BBm

Have you checked "Recent Updates" in BBM? I get the icon when one of me BBM contacts change something in his/her profile.

Have you tried pulling the battery out for 30 seconds and then reinserting it? This reboots the system and doesn't wipe out an data.
