Is anyone else having duplicate contact problems in their blackberry? I have a storm 2 and I have as many as 10 duplicate contacts. That's fine and dandy but after trying to contact someone today I noticed that its combining contacts. For example john smith mobile number is right but its showing his facebook name as amanda clark and john smith's home number has now become amanda's cell phone number. Some of my contacts are just all together disappearing. Wth....? I did notice the other day that I now have a backup assistant app on my bb that I didn't download. Kinda wondering if its this new app doing this or something. I didn't notice it happening before this app appeared. Anyone having anything remotely like this going on?

What are you using to sync your contacts normally?

The only thing I have is google. I have nothing else synced. I backup contacts on the computer. But I have not attached my bb to a comp in a good while. Could this possibly from the new things google is doing. I've noticed some new features here lately with it.

Go to your contacts on your gmail account. Then choose the Remove Duplicates button and determine which one you want to merge or delete.
