First question:

Is the BOLD a quad band device, can I use it on a CDMA and or a GSM network or was it the 9700 which started with quad band support?

Second Question:

How do I add my MP3 pictures to the BB media player, so when I play the songs I upload (I upload the entire album with pictures) I see the picture on my player and not that goofy music icon RIM uses?

The 9000 and 9700 are quad band GSM devices. They cannot work on CDMA networks.

The 8830 was a dual use CDMA (North America) and GSM (outside of North America) device. The 9530, 9550, 9630 and 9650 are usable on GSM and CDMA.

Quad band allows the phone the work on both networks, example Verizon and or AT&T. If the device only works on GSM network that supports Edge and 3G only, its not quad band.

The iPhone 3G and 3GS works on GSM/CDMA networks, my friend in Colombia South America has his iPhone with a dual Simm on both networks as cell services is pretty expensive.

Wrong.

Quad band refers to the frequency bands and not the networks. A Quad-Band phone supports all four major GSM frequency bands 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900 making it compatible with all major GSM networks worldwide.

A CDMA device is dual band and operates on CDMA 850 and CDMA 1900.

I have never heard of an iPhone working on CDMA networks. AFAIK it is totally impossible as they are two totally different and non-compatible technologies. At least here in the US, the iPhone is GSM only and cannot in way, shape or function, work on a CDMA network.
