Default Silent Mode

Please Login to Remove!

I have just acquired a Bold 9700 and the one thing I need to do is find a way to quickly silence the ringtone when I am in meetings ( I don't mind vibrate)

If I press the "Q" key, the screen displays "Profile changed to Vibrate Only".

That seems simple except it doesn't work - if a call comes in the phone still rings!

Anyone have a simple answer to this problem?

On the homescreen move the cursor to the top left of the screen onto the speaker. There you can quickly select the volume.

Regards,

Jan

edit your "vibrate only" profile and change the ring to mute

I have gone to the speaker icon which says "Sounds (Vibrate only)" , then "Vibrate Only (Active)" but there is no way from there I can change it. If I select that last line, the screen just reverts to the Sounds icon - nothing happens. Sorry to be dim, how do you change the profile to mute?

Click on the speaker icon and then scroll down to Edit Profiles. Scroll down and select Vibrate Only. Select each of the message alerts and make sure that Silent is selected for each alert.

Yes - I have done that but the ring tone still goes off with the phone both in or out of the holster. Selecting vibrate only just does not turn off the ring tone for some reason
