I'm trying to get about 1400 contacts from my Tour to my Bold. Here's the deal:

I just started a new job and was given a Bold, which is synched with the new company's Outlook. I've got my personal Tour, which has all my contacts on it. I'm trying to get the contacts onto the new Bold and into my new Outlook. We tried hooking the Tour up to BB Desktop, downloading the contacts, and then restoring the contacts folder to the Bold, but it recognizes that these are two different devices.

Any ideas?

Setup a Google account - do Google Sync on the Tour -- all your contact will end up in Gmail.

Do Google Sync with the Bold -- all your contacts will be on your bold (and in your Outlook from your BES).

There are probably other ways, but this seems like the easiest.

Use DM and the switch device wizard.

But it should let you sync one to Outlook and then the other. Must have a switch set wrong.

Thanks. We tried using the switch device wizard, and it didn't work. (It brought my emails over to the new phone, but didn't touch the contacts.)

Gmail synch worked. Thanks!
