I have a Curve 8320 and it's been pretty faithful and works very hard. I had to however reload the operating system recently, and the operating system I used was the RIM non-carrier specific version as it is straight from RIM. Before restoring the Blackberry, I had capital letter edge, and now, all I get is lower case. I have talked to Rogers, and argued with them about it, but they are convinced it's the handset. I've tried reinstalling the OS again, I've used different versions of Windows to install it, and I've even left the battery out for a while and rebooted it. I've also tried sending the service books, sending the registration, but every time I get *No Entries* when I check the Host Routing Table. Any suggestions? Can I download the service books and manually copy them to my blackberry?
Yeah I have a data plan for blackberry through rogers however the warrenty on it has expired, so they refuse to support the handheld. Posted via BlackBerryForums.com Mobile
I do certainly agree that it needs replacing soon however the. Only thing that changed between when my data connection worked and now was an OS restore. No hardware was damaged or replaced in the process. Posted via BlackBerryForums.com Mobile
I didn't upgrade. I reformatted as it was running slow and too many applications were installed. I have tried resending the books as well. Posted via BlackBerryForums.com Mobile
Log into Rogers BIS page with the user name and password you created when your BIS was set up and, with your BlackBerry turned on, resend your service books. After you get the confirmation emails, do a battery pull for good measure.
