Hi i got given a blackberry curve 8310 because i broke my phone and im not due a upgrade till next august anyway i have spoke to vodaphone and have asked for unlimited internet but i have no application to browse the web but i can still use bbm.

Does anyone know what i need to do to be able to browse the web ?

what makes you think you broke the phone?
More than likely the service you have is for a standard cell phone. You need a Blackberry Data plan to allow the BB to access the Internet. When you have the plan the carrier will send service books to the BB which allows the icon to appear on the phone.

If you have a blackberry data plan -- which it sounds like you do, if you are using blackberry messenger -- and you do not have the blackberry browser icon on you device, then it would seem you didn't get the service book.

If you don't have a blackberry data plan but somehow someway got the device with some of the service books installed -- and hence are able to use blackberry messenger for the time being -- then you will need to get a blackberry data plan on your account if you want to keep using blackberry messenger and other blackberry data services.

I didnt say i broke this phone i sed i broke my other phone which is the reason i have this 8310. Thankyou for your help

try having the Service books resent as suggested by aiharkness
