So last night I put my Blackberry on charge, the battery wasn't low I just wanted to put a bit extra in for today. It was working perfecty fine when I went to sleep, and this morning I woke to the red light flashing, I thought that it was just a text message, but the screen was blank, I pushed the on/off button in hope that it would just start up again, it did but all I got was a white screen with an egg timer that wasn't moving. I pushed the on/off button again and this time the screen went white with no egg timer. So I took the battery out, waited for a while and popped it back in, but now it won't even turn on at all. No red light, no white screen, nothing.
I did buy it second hand, but it has worked perfectly fine up until now.
I've taken it to the phone shop where I got it unlocked, but they said they couldn't help. I just wondered whether there was anything that I could do, or is my phone completely useless now?

Did you get it wet, even in a little in a sweaty pocket or foggy locker room or something like that? Drop it?

Can you charge the battery in another blackberry or something? Or borrow another battery to test in your blackberry?

You need to rule out either the battery or the device. Trying another battery or testing your battery another blackberry may be the easiest and quickest first step. If you can't get a battery right away, you could also try connecting to a computer and wiping with JL_CMDER (see blackberryfaq.com). If you are able to that, then reinstall the OS.
