The BES and BIS servers do the actual pushing to the device. If your company has a BES, or you are writing the application for companies that will have a BES then you do not need to register with rim. There is a very good description of using a BES to push at this site. The server code is in Perl, not PHP

If you won't have access to a BES then you will have to push through the BIS and will require registration with RIM. When you register you will be given access to sample server and client applications. The server apps run under Apache Tomcat, but if you want to use PHP there is a sample program here.

Ye thanks for the reply...

I have been conform that i need to register with the rim and also thanks for the php code...

I have register my application with rim. But nearly 12 hrs has been past i haven't receive any reply from rim ie... no application id, nor port number nothing...

That's why i cannot understand what to do further....

One BIG thing....

Can you provide me client side code required to send from device to blackberry server......

Because i have read that if application is register on rim the device should also

It may take a number of days to get your registration from RIM. When you registered you should have gotten a link to sample code that includes the server, and client side applications.

Thanks for the reply... really feels good....

The think is...

when i submitted the form i got the page from the rim that... "Your request has been

successfully done and will reply in 2 days business hrs..." and i didn't find any link

that would provide me any code for server as well as client side on that page.

If by mistake i have missed it please can you provide me the link for the server and client side code....

so i can understand what should i do further when i receive application id from rim..

Thanks...

You do realize unless you set up a full commercial BES service and use a carrier to forward the emails from the server you cannot directly connect the BB to your server.
Normal connection
BES to carrier to RIM to carrier to BB.

BIS( carrier) to RIM to carrier to BB.
