anyone know a good application for the DC Metro? I know there is a good one for Droid but I'm not finding a good one for a 9550. I am trying to find one that shows the times for the metro. Thanks!

I don't know an app specific for the DC system, but checkout MetrO (it is in app world, or you can download from the developer's site). It's a nice little app. May do what you need.

I just use wmata.com's mobile site. Soon you will be able to use google maps.

I use the mobile site too but it doesn't show when the trains are leaving. Also, the mobile site is really difficult with all of the addresses you have to enter etc. The one I saw for Droid showed the information you see on the monitors on the platforms. Can't wait until I get rid of this phone. I will just use it on my itouch for now.

As for the MetrO app. I had that but it didn't look like it showed the train times. Did I delete it too soon? Does that app update the metro times?

Am I misunderstanding? The mobile site has a "Next Train" link on it.

Maybe you mean a scheduled time? I'm not sure if Metro even publishes times for trains during the peak travel times, preferring to say, "a train leaves every 3 minutes" or something like that. They publish times for off peak travel, though, and I share your desire to be able to access those on the BB.

I don't believe Metro shows the schedules for stops.

One advantage to MetrO, though, is you can save the system info to the media card. Thus you can still use it when out if signal range.
