Problems with Webservice Connection
Please Login to Remove!
Hi,
I'm trying to connect to a Webservice within a BlackBerry Java App. For testing the Service I've used the software soapUI. So I found that the Webservice works fine. I've attached the request and the answer of the webservice in the archive.
When calling the webservice out of a java application I always get an error.
I think I didn't use the right parameters to call the webservice. Could you tell me, how to do it right? I didn't find something appropriate on the internet.
You can find the error message and the source code in the file attached.
Thanks in advance!
rolandr
PS: I wasn't able to add the Code directly in the post because it contains URLs and I don't have enough posts to add URLs.

Re: Problems with Webservice Connection
Not enough info.
Are you trying this on the device or the simulator?
Are you hitting the web service? Have you checked the server-side logs?
If on the simulator, are you running MDS? Are you adding connection parameters to the URL?
If on the device, what conneciton parameters are you adding to the URL? What network? Is the APN set?

Re: Problems with Webservice Connection
Hi,
@Dougsg38p
Thanks for your answer. When I look on the server it doesn't look like the service gets called by the app.
I'm running the app on the simulator and I've startet MDS. I do not add any further connection parameters.
Thanks again!
regards

Re: Problems with Webservice Connection
What URL are you using? Note that you cannot connect to localhost or 127.0.0.1 using MDS (not allowed).
Looking at your error, it seems like there must be a preceeding error regarding the connect. The error you are showing usually means that there was a return null buffer.

Re: Problems with Webservice Connection
I'm using the URL which is in "source.txt" in line 19. It is not localhost oder 127.0.0.1. It's a standalone server.
Meanwhile I've also tried to run the app on a device, but it also doesn't work. APN is set. Everything else on the device is also working well.

Re: Problems with Webservice Connection
Have you looked at the console output for clues?

Re: Problems with Webservice Connection
Yes I've looked, but I didn't find anything on the console...
Would it help, if I post the WSDL File?

Re: Problems with Webservice Connection
Hi,
I've now change the source code. It added it in this post as a zip file. With the new code I get another error. But the service still doesn't get hit. Does anybody have an idea?
Thanks in advance!
