i have blackberry curve 8900 version 4.6.1.114, T-moble carrier and i'm using the older version of facebook blackberry version 1.6.0 because i've read that you can use wifi with the older facebook version without data plan. however whenever i connect and sign in it says: "could not connect because a data service is not available" is there any other way to possibly connect or are there any configurations in my phone that i still need to set? thank you.

You need a BB data plan to access any RIM service, which includes Facebook.
