For some reason, I can't unsynch my contacts from gmail. I have removed my gmail account from the BB and am trying to get my contacts back to synching with Outlook via desktop manager but options is only allowing me to select account (which isn't even on the phone anymore).

Any ideas?

Try going to Options>Device>Advanced>Service Books and deleting the service books for gmail.

No luck on this after doing it then reboot.

>All>Options>Device>Advanced System Settings>Default Services>Contact List (SYNC): doesn't allow any other selection then the account that no longer exists.

Mobile synch (in Options for Contact list) is NOT checked (but, again the gmail account is shown with no way to remove it.

This is a stupid question, but I have to ask: did you check the Organizer Data box under Device Options in the desktop manager?

For what it's worth...

I wiped the phone, & installed 6.0.0.546.

No idea what was the actual cause of the problem though.
