How are you trying to update?

Your profile to the left says you have a model 9000. Have you looked in the 9000 forum for manual OS updates?

Do not connect through a hub or through a peripheral device. Direct USB connection from BlackBerry to pc is what you want.

There is a sticky at the top of the BB Help section, that might be useful: http://www.blackberryforums.com/blac...ect-my-bb.html

I have a new Dell laptop with 4 USB ports. I found only one would work with the BB although the pc info does not state 3 of the 4 are hub ports.
