Hi all,
I was given some applications for blackberry, among them there was skype. I thought I'd try it out using the bb desktop software, so i import the skype file (im_skype.alx).and waited...then mid-through, the device either was disconnected or i dont know, because it just rebooted, and for the last hour, it loads to the end, but never switches on!
ive restarted it, taken the battery out, it just loads to the end but then nothing happens

...if left unattended it comes up with 'app error 200' screen and a 'reset' underneath which ive selected- and repeated the whole process twice now.

Please, please help, just dont see where the problem is!

Skype doesn't work on Blackberrys on carriers except Verizon.

I'd suggest you don't try "importing" apps you were "given" which likely came from someone with a different carrier and/or a different model BlackBerry than yours. This is a good example of what that leads to! You may have to wipe the device, reinstall the OS and start over.

Unless you know the model the Apps are intended for, it's never a good idea to just load a few. The end result is what you now have. Depending on bad the OS is scrambled you may have to do a reload.
