Default Adding more user licenses

Please Login to Remove!

Hi All,
I have a BlackBerry Server currently running version 4.0. I have just purchased 10 more additional licenses. I'm just wondering how I go about adding the licenses to the server.
Also, How do I go about finding the original 20 user license?

Thanks,
Gary

In your Blackberry manager on the BES. Click on Blackberry Domain and in the right pane under account there is a field called License Management. Click that and enter in your new license keys. I run BES 4.0 for GW so it may be different if you use a different mail server.

If you are on Exchange, open BlackBerry manager and in the left window, right-click on BlackBerry Manager and choose properties. In the next window, the upper section is where you enter the new CALs and the lower section shows the installed CALs.

I'm about to add a second BES server that has NO licenses on it. Can I go back and forth between the two servers with the same license? I mean, "remove" the license from server 1 and place it on server 2. That way I can work on server 1 while the user stays up on server 2.

Are you sharing a database? If so, then you are sharing the CALs

Smile Adding user licenses to BES server

Hi,

I have a BES 4.0 on Lotus Domino. When I look for the license information, I get the following info

Blackberry Server 20
Mobile Data server 20

What does it mean ? Since I have many more than 20 users on the BES server..

Thanks in advance

It means you have licenses for 20 users and you are violating your license agreement.
