Default Is there still such a thing as a "black" Blackberry?

Please Login to Remove!

I'm looking to get a new blackberry, I've had a blue 7280 and now I have a grey and blue 7100. I want to get an 8700, now I haven't had a good look at the 8700r, but is it black or dark blue. And if it is dark blue, does anyone know where I can get a black, Blackberry?

It's just that dressing for a blue phone is so much harder than for a black one.

If you get a black holster then it doesn't matter what color your phone is. All they will be able to see is the holster, until you unholster your phone that is. But I feel you. I used to have phones that you could change the faceplates and would buy several so I could match my phone to what I was wearing that day.

I thought the reason you went back to the 7520 is because the you think the quality and durability of the 8700 stinks.

I've got the black 7250. Blends well with my full black Matrix-esque ensemble.

I have a co-worker who signs off with
"Sent from my wireless Rasberry". Although I don't think he actually has a red one.

Also not all holsters cover the full BB, so the ugly (IMO) blue can still be seen.

The 8700r is a GSM model with Rogers and is dark enough to count as black.

All of Bell Mobility's CDMA models have been Black thus far, including the 7130e.

I wouldn't generalize to all models that bell's put out. I have a buddy who has a blue 6750 or whatever the Bell model of hte 6700 series was.

I recently replaced the shell of my T-mobile 7290 (blue) with a black one and I really like it better now. I don't remember the name of the company I ordered it from, but it was a painless replacement.

Cheers, Rich

I stand corrected ... there was a blue 6750 that was available for a limited period after Rogers started selling a blue 72xx model.

When you do that does it nullify the warranty ?
I want a different faceplate for my 8700C.
I remember someone posting a link for a website which had some 8700 replacement faceplates 'coming soon'.

That is a given. All three of my friends got so much dust behind the screen it is noticable even from a distance. One of the dusty units is a replacement that was surposed to be fixed. The other guy got his replaced and had dust under the screen out of the box!

I have also seen a RED or Cranberry Blackberry. Thought it was painted but found out the RIM did make a few of these RED phones. This guy got his from a friend in Canada.

I just have a lot of phones (22 to be exact) that I can switch between. Including 3 Berries. :p

I have a Black Berry (7730), Blue Berry (6230), and Gray Berry (8700).
