Default Nextel 7520 + 4.1 OS = Error 507

Please Login to Remove!

I loaded the software, and the radio stopped working.
I attempted to reload the software, and I get Error 507.

Joy.

Error 507 means that there is no operating system or that it has become corrupted, please use javaloader to wipe the device and then try to reinstall the OS all over again. Just a reminder to remove the vendor file if you haven't. Now please remember that it may take well over 30 minutes of the hourglass spinning and this is normal, do not disconnect the device during that time or you will have the same issue all over again, when loading OS into the BBs the key words are patience and calm.

Windows wasn't even recognizing it as a device.

Ahwell. It's under warranty. I'll get a new one tomorrow.

No need to return it.
Locate and delete "Vendor.XML" on your PC C: drive
Restart Desktop Manager

Make sure that your BB is connected directly to your PC and not to a USB hub.

It should work.

Nothing was recognizing the device. Not Windows, not Desktop Manager.

Won't do much for a Nextel, unless you are loading Telus software on it, but they pretty much lag behind Nextel anyway.

Got the new Blackberry this morning, and upgraded to 4.1 w/o a problem. Now, let's see if there are any differences worth mentioning.

I have a 7520 w/ V4.0.0.249 on a BES through my company. Can I upgrade my phone to V4.1 without the BES being upgraded. Will this cause any conflicts?

Yes, you can upgrade it even if the BES is not upgraded...

Default New error message

I have a Nextel 7520 and all of a sudden I get this message on my phone:

JVN Error 102
reset

I called Nextel Technical Support, they have no clue...I can still hook it up to the desktop manager and add or delete applications, but I cant save my phone book or anything else...the phone wont turn on..nothing just that error message..

I am running OS 4.1

Any ideas?

Default Have you simply tried the tiny reset button on the back need the battery?

Or possibly, if you have your applications for installation, why not reload the radio software and start from scratch, I think this was mentioned above....
