Default Messages Screen

Please Login to Remove!

Hi

I have a new BT Blackberry 7100g. When I go into my Messages option, it always displays my received and sent emails. Is there a way for it to only show the received messages ?

I am pulling my hair out trying to work this out.

Cheers

Yes, if you click the track wheel and go to options, there should be an option to hide sent messages.

Hi

Thanks for your reply. I clicked the trackwheel in options on the message screen and I get General Options, Email Settings, Email Filters and Email Reconciliation. There is the option to Hide Filed Messages under General Optins, but this still displays the sent email messages on the main messages screen. Any ideas ?

I think it is only available for 4.1. Does the 7100g have 4.1? I thought only the 7100i does.

I just answered your question, there are no more ideas. It isn't available in 4.0. Sorry, looks like you need to upgrade.

No prob, who is your provider? If you have Cingular/T-Mobile, you can do the Hong Kong CSL 4.1 OS.

Yes, it is available for 4.0 (at least if your using BES). Go into Messages / Options / Email Settings / click wheel / select Folder Redirection. Expand your mailbox name and then uncheck the 'Sent Items' folder and save.

It appears on TMO, you can only set up filters for incoming mail.

You could just hit alt+I for incoming messages only. Your choice

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.0) BlackBerry7520/4.1.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/103)

Then you could turn off the call logging and you would only be sorting messages. The other thing is turning off the sent folder.

You are likely redirecting Sent Items. Messages that are delivered to the handheld are always listed in the default message list.

Hi

I am uisng BES but unchecking the sent items folder doesnt seem to work on 4.0.2 etc. Is this a setting on the office Exchange server?

Also, I downloaded a tune from freemidi.org and it was useless. Are there any other free sites I can download from using my Blackberry ?

Cheers
David
