yes...it runs natively, and supplies the drivers for USB, etc...I don't see why it wouldn't work after reading the documentation on it yesterday off of apple's site.

It is, in essence a Windows machine - so ALL options are possible - broadband modem tethering, desktop manager, etc.
One good looking computer - 2 operating systems - sounds too good to be true

Here are a couple of interesting sites. One is Boot Camp, from Apple allowing a dual boot, and another is a program that allows running XP from WITHIN OS X.

http://www.apple.com/macosx/bootcamp/

http://www.parallels.com/en/products/workstation/mac/

I would be more inclined to run XP natively via bootcamp than run it as an emulation in OSX. I would be willing to bet that not all perepherials would work under emulation.

We have two of our mac book pro's at the office running windows xp w/boot camp. It transforms into a windows xp maching. Can't figure out why these two engineers of ours did it? I am happy with the Mac os under the ppc.

I never had a need for Windows until I bought my BlackBerry a few months ago. Boot Camp couldn't have come at a better time. Desktop Manager here I come!

Let us know how it goes. I have a dent in my 1yr old PowerBook and would be more than willing to do a trade for a new MacBook if only for having an application loader for the BB.

I have a MacBook Pro, running Windows Xp, and OSX, both running wonderfully and without a hitch. Im actually typing on the Macbook Pro version right now, while installing new apps in the backround on my blackberry using desktop manager.

Works great

Guess, are you using Parallel's Workstation? I thought they weren't going to enable USB support until the next version?

question.. is running windows going to make your mac book more open to hackers and viruses or will it still have the same security as the mac osx

Naturally, you can "shut down" Windows and run solely on OSX (in case anyone is wondering). The only reason I ever need Windows is for a BB, anyhow.

EWWWW... can you imagine having to reboot all the time? Again? Before we turned into Macheads? YUCK.
