We use ACT 6.0 in our business. I have approximately 2500 contacts and 500 tasks (to do's) active at any given time. I had problems with CompanionLink 2.0 trial creating duplicate entries. Has any other's have had bad experiences, or can you share some good experiences?

The reason I ask, I ALMOST dumped by 7520 for a Treo just to supprot ACT on the road. After reading all the "i had a BB, then tried a Treo, not I am back to a BB" stories, I have decided to keep the 7520 and HOPEFULLY get Companion Link working

I have been using ACT 6.0 and Companion Link with my Verizon 7250 and have had no problem with duplicate entries. I sync via USB cable every evening so that my plan for the next day is loaded, along with any updates to contacts that have been made during the day. I sync one way- Desktop to Blackberry, since I am at my desk most of the time but need the data with me when I am out on a call.

I believe my problem was I had a database integrity issue with my ACT 6.0 database. I ran actdiag.exe, repaired it, and now it appears (fingers crossed) all is well.

Where did you find actdiag.exe? I have a user who cannot get companion link to work on his 8700. I downloaded his ACT calendar with the BB instructions and he doesn't see all his appointments. He's got companionlink but unfortunately I've never used it and know nothing about it.

ACTDIAG.EXE is in the "c:/program files/act" directory.

The best directions for companionlink is on their site on www.companionlink.com. They are very responsive to questions and problem resolution; a GREAT company to work with .....
