Default BB Web Client

Please Login to Remove!

Hello

What's the easiest way of switching on and off the web client? I'd like to have "phone only", unless I'm traveling. (The spam is wearing me out and Verizon offers no filters!)

Thanks!

Default Temporary Disable of BWC???

I have the same question!!!! If you figure it out, please let me know.

The only option I see so far is to delete and re-add the email account every time you want to enable/disable

Well, you could delete/re-add the service book.

goto OPTIONS, then you'll find "Service Book", and you'll see "Web Client [CMIME]", press in the trackwheel, and delete

How would I add it back again when I want to re-enable this email?

login to your BWC website, and goto the profile tab, and at the bottom should be a button that says "Send Service Book"

Got "all too typical" Verizon customer service responses today on three questions:

How do I turn email off and on quickly?
- No way to do it.

How do I manage spam when working through the web client?
- No way to do it.

What is a firm release date for 4.0?
- Should've already happened, but it hasn't. We're in the dark on it.

:(

Removing the service books only prevents you from sending email. If you want to block email coming in, set up a filter and don't forward it to handheld in BWC.

Logon to the BWC
Click Filters
Click:
Specify what email is sent to your handheld and control notification using Filters.
Click
Default when no filters apply: Forward messages to handheld
Select radio button
Do not forward messages to handheld

Thats all folks

1. To turn on/off emails, you can turn on/off radio. But you won't be able to receive phone call.

2. You can use a third party spam filter to filter your BlackBerry emails.

3. Verizon has now released BlackBerryOS 4.0
