My boss has an Acura TL and his bb was syncing fine untill a few days ago when the bt icon and the paird devices dissapeared. BT is still enabled and discoverable is set to yes.
The message he recieves repeates itself over and over once he is in the car "Enter Passkey for Handsfree link TM" we have no idea what to enter. any ideas?
I'm having a similar problem in my Acura TL since I went to the 8700g as well... bluetooth doesn't stay connected. If I've got an active call going, the connection stays... but if the phone is idle, the connectivity flickers.
Your boss may want to set the HandsfreeLink(tm) connection as a trusted connection... this will prevent the BB from asking for the password each time. If he doesn't remember the password, you may have to repair the devices.
I just downgraded 8700g (T-mobile) software from version v4.1.0.284 to v4.1.0.194 and stil no go. Only stays connected for firt session and then start dropping when you get into the car second time.

Sorry, I don't have the 8700g, but if check the Acura HFL mini-site (found through viewing the TL specs on Handsfree Link) and submit a problem pairing (there is also information about proper pairing) to customer service - they're fairly prompt in getting back with you and will work with you on getting your Blackberry paired. Blackberry's tend to pair easily as well as offer more functions than most bluetooth phones. And yes, I own a TL and have a 7100t paired flawlessly with it. Good luck and hope things get resolved for you soon.
