My 8700c was out of service for just awhile, while I waited for a replacement front housing. Repaired it, fired it back up, but during the month or so that it was down, I had been using another phone, and had dropped/de-activated the BlackBerry service from my Cingular account (because I wasn't sure I'd be able to fix it at that time). So, my account was re-activated, but when I logged in via the web, I was asked it wanted to upgrade to V2 of the service. I now regret doing so. I gained a separate e-mail account icon on the 8700c (big deal), but it seems I have lost the ability to file messages. I suppose because there's no corresponding web account with which to create the folders. The folder still exist on my 8700c, but the "file message" option is gone. One of the accounts I poll with the 8700c is an IMAP account, and I was half expecting to be able to manipulate my messages as if on the remote server, but no go. So, is there a way to get back that message filing capability? Thanks!
There are some people that say you can revert back to version 1.8 on almost all services except Tmobile (because they completely converted to 2.0). One guy was offering instructions but he wanted you to pay for it (sounds like a scam). Try searching for instructions on reverting back. I have also heard talk about one of the services getting ready to upgrade to 2.1 to fix all the bugs of 2.0 but I don't know if that will bring back the ability to check your BB mail and file it online.
