Called TMobile to see if/when they were going to release this update. After sitting on hold for 28 minutes, I was informed that "TMobile just released the 4.0 software two weeks ago." What that had to do with my question, I do not know. She then went on to say that she had NO idea if there was any update in the pipe, nor was there anyone with any better information that I could talk to.
They need to change their last question from "Is there anything ELSE I can help you with" to Is there anything I can do for you that involves pulling your battery out to reset the device". That seems to be the extent of their technical support. Way to go, level 2.
