My boss is moving to Italy for a year. We'd like to keep his 8700g working with our BES, but not pay T-mobile's Roaming fees.

so I get the unlock code from T-mobile and now my questions:

1) if we get the right service from a provider in Italy, it WILL still work with our BES, right?

2) I've looked at Italian providers websites with a native speaker and we couldn't find a plan that says it supports BES, in fact I've had clueless T-mobile USA salespeople not know that the $29 plan doesn't and the $39 plan does. Any advice on finding the right service and provider?

i dont see why it wouldnt work, as far as i know(which is little on the bes side), is that as long as the bes sees an active pin, it *should* work

as for coverage in italy, i live there for 3 years in sunny sigonella sicily, and the best coverage and features came from TIM, vodafone IT was a worthlss piece of shit.

thats from personal experience, dont really know how it is on the mainland

if you have someone that can read italian, this might be a good starting point
