Default checking email online?

Please Login to Remove!

Hi,

I just recently purchased a 7100i. I am out of my Nextel service area about 2 weeks out of the month.

I would like to be able to access my Blackberrry email on line.

Is that possible?

Mark

You use to be able to with the web client. I do not think you can do it with the BIS. If there is a way I also like to know.

When I delete a email on the blackberry it asks me if I would like to delete it on the server also. It seems to me there should be a way to check this online. I have been through all the Nextel / Sprint sites and I find nothing on this subject. I have sent a query to Nextel. I will let you know if they contact me.

With the advent of BIS 2.0, the Web Client was removed. There's no way to check it online.

The prompt is a default prompt. When an e-mail is sent directly to your BB, if you delete it, it deletes entirely.

However, if you set up a Gmail account, for instance, and have it forwarded/sent to your Blackberry, the prompt actually means something, as it determines the action taken IN Gmail.

I NEVER recommend using your actual BB e-mail address for anything. Set up a free account that can forward to it, for spam filtering (if you get spam to your actual BB address, you're screwed), and for the reason this thread was started in the first place.

Hope that helps.

Thanks for that...

I have a different email set up at Yahoo that works the way you recommend.
