Error 720 When tethering

I have had the 8100 since the day after release. Tethering (via Bluetooth) has worked flawlessly from day one. Friday, my trackball stopped working so I returned the phone to the T-Mobile store. They exchanged for a new phone, no problem. Now, I can no longer successfully connect to the T-Mobile network via tethering.
I connect via Bluetooth, it dials, passes the user name and password (both blank), verifies the user name and password, then instantly kicks me at "Registering your computer on the network" and throws an Error 720 message.
T-Mobile support was useless. All they could do was verify that all my settings were correct (they were). Now, I turn to the REAL experts. HELP! I travel almost non-stop and tethering is a real life-saver.
