Default invisible shields

Please Login to Remove!

Just finished installing the shield on my pearl. I read other posts about spraying both sides and spraying your fingers. However after about an hour my phone is perfect. I only sprayed one side, none on my fingers and for all of the small pieces, I did not use any spray, just a pair of tweezers. The one side is already sticky and spraying it just made the piece slide around too much. I have about a third of the spray left and there is not a wrinkle or bubble in the phone. Hope this helps someone else.

Here's a link to the full body shield: ShieldZone - Home of the iPod Screen Protector: Add Item they also offer a screen protector only version. I have the full body version but I use the seido rubberized case so, I would have been fine with the screen protector version and I would have also saved 15 bucks.

This one is way cheaper than the Shieldzone and made with exact same material.

I just installed the Invisible shield yesterday on my Pearl - by far the best solution! My 8700c after a year of use is really marked up. I first installed their I-Pod shield 3 months ago on Video I-pod. After being in my bag hiking, tossed in my car and in my pocket running it still looks good as new! Great solution to protecting your pearl!

What is this "Invisible Shield" you noobs are mentioning? Are you referring to ShieldZone or the Best Skins Ever skin? Or is there some product I am not aware of and that you are referring others to?

To the member asking "What shield" there are two that I am aware of, ShieldZone and Best Skins Ever.

Those two products are exactly the same. However, Best Skins Ever is the better deal. It's $7 as compared to ShieldZone's that cost $25. You can buy three sets of Best Skins Ever and get free shipping, so that would be $21.

I have a thread on how to install the Best Skins Ever skin.

I thought the name of the company was ShieldZone, but the product was invisible shields. My email was to the product, sorry if this caused confusion.

are these so called shields worth the price and effort or will they fall off after a month? Also if you put them on are you able to get them off afterwards with out tearing things up?

If they actually stay on there and will come off if I ever want it off for some odd reason, I would be really interested in buying one to protect the screen part of my 8100

Probably the "best" money you can spend on your Pearl. And yes, they stick great and I hear come off whenever you want without any residue.

Just put a set of BSE on my Cingular Pearl. Have had them on an unlocked Tmo Pearl for about 2 months now and nothing has lifted anywhere inspite of it going in/out of my case probably 50 times a day.

Well, the Best Skins Ever are only $7 each, that's pretty cheap as things go and it's easy to achieve "worth the price" status at those rates.

They are easy to remove. I had a warranty claim on my Pearl, before I returned the old one I took the BSE skins off of all the surfaces. There was no marks or residue left behind. I shined up the Pearl with Windex and the thing looked new.

The skin stays on, I suspect as long as you want. The adhesive property on the skin is actually very good. I don't see the edges ever peeling off.

Get the Best Skins Ever and install it on your phone NOW!

haha thanks guys I appreciate the imput. You have convinced me that I need to get this, as this little sticky cling-on plastic I have over the screen now isnt going to make it much longer.

Just curious, I am slightly confused by the website, does the shield protect just the screen or is it covering more than that? one picture shows practically the whole phone while the other is just the screen.

I noticed in another thread that you have the OEM skins from chinesecatt. Do you use BSE and the skins at the same time?

The rubber skin is not the same as the BSE skin that is applied with adhesive to the phone.

Once applied the BSE skin is thin as a piece of paper. It does not affect use of the phone with cases, such as rubber skins, rubberized cases or leather.

Best Skins Ever sells a skin for the display ONLY, which I think is about $4 to $5.

They also sell a skin for the entire phone, front, bottom and back.

Best bet is to get the entire skin set as the Pearl's shiny plastic pieces need to be protected from wear.

Also, the full body skin cuts down on smudges/fingerprints if for no other reason, you can't see them.

You also get a better grip on the phone with the full body skin.

As a matter of fact there is a company that makes invisible bras for cars. It is applied with heat. If you have the money and desire, they could put it over your whole car if you wanted.

Anyone else have an orange peel look after installing the Best Skin Ever?
Did I apply it incorrectly?

I call it "dimples". All the pics I've seen from others have them too.
