Hi all,

I'm new to the forum and just wanted to say hi, and thanks for all the info I've found. Really helped me, as this is the first smart phone I've had.

Just a bit of advice needed. I found that the pearl sometimes slows down (just a bit) when doing simple tasks, and sometimes randomly shhows the hour glass in between folders, playing mp3's and some times in applications.

The applications such as googletalk, browser, especially media player... also crash for a while, and are slow to react.

It's not a hhuge problem, just a bit slow. Is this normal? or do most of you rarely see the hourglass during normal operation.

I just upgrded to the latest OS (.71), and have 19Mb free, adn took the battery out for 30secs etc. My apps are googleMap/Talk, Opera mini, and a few games. And I've taken some of the language packs off. Ive got a 2gb card. I've only had it for a day, so havent been over emailing/smsing it

Is there also a tutorial on how thin out the system, ato make it fast as possible, or is this type of thing not possible?
