Is there any way to link up BES 4.0 to Active Directory? Specifically for password policies. I am being asked if I can have the handheld password be tied into AD so it is exactly the same as their LAN login.

So far I have modifed the default IT policies on the BES to mirror our AD password policy as close as possible. And I can have users reset their initial handheld password to their LAN login, and change it when LAN login expires (both AD and BES set to 60 days expiration) so once they do that initially, both will expire at the same time.

Personally I don't think this is that big of deal but it is an issue being stressed by upper management. I would like a definite "No" or "yes, but you have to buy this tool", etc...

We are a Win2k/win2k3 & Exchange 2000 environment, BES is on win2k3.
Any help would be aprpeciated.

A definitive No. I've asked people at RIM about it. No way to link the AD password to the IT policy passwords on the BES.
