Default Stereo Headphones for Pearl

Please Login to Remove!

Is anyone using stereo headphones with their 8100?

I like the sony mdr-style earbud headphones, and would like to find ones that would work with my phone so I can give my iPod nano some rest.

I use Jabra C120's and they work like a champ-the ear gels are a nuisance, so I've removed them completely, but the sound qualty and fit are superb. They generally run a little under thirty bucks, but if you do some smart Froogling, you should be able to find them for cheaper.

I think you meant Jabra c220. You can find them quite cheap on Ebay. For the price you pay for it, it's the best.

In fact, one person decided to compare this with the OEM earphones for the Pearl. He found that OEM earphones sound slightly better than Jabra but Jabra stays in your ear better than the OEM earphones. So his conclusion is get the Jabra because you can't beat the price.

I bought the Jabra headphones at a local electronics store near my place when I first got my Pearl. They were on sale so & I heard good things about it so I figured why not. I still use them from time to time and and they work great.

I'm not quite sure but with this you can use your favorite headset.
VOICE RECORDING ENABLED AUDIO ADAPTOR (2.5MM MALE JACK TO 3.5MM FEMALE JACK) - ADA2-XDA325M35F
And there is one that comes with a built in mic and answer button.

I got the Jabra c220s from eBay for $8.24 shipped. I'm very satisfied with them.

I'll have to check them out if I get to keep this thing past the testing stages. That and a MicroSD card to load up the music.

Do they require an adapter or will they plug right into the headphone jack of the pearl?

I found out I get to keep my phone, so as long as these head phones don't need an adapter I am probably going to order them up. The only other thing I need is a microSD card now.

I think it depends on how the phones fit. They can't make the earpieces generic to fit all the kinds of ears out there, so they try for the middle.

I am lucky, I guess. My c220's fit perfect and do not feel uncomfortable at all, even when having them on for three hours, e.g., when on my road bike.

Don't be sad too long.

Every set of earphones I have received with devices have been shoddy to the max. It's nice when they are in the box but one use and they get tossed in a ziploc bag with the other 30 pairs I have.

I don't recall anyone saying how good or bad the earphones are that come with some of the Pearls out there. The set that came with that White Pearl [see other thread] look nicer than most "freebie" earphones, but I dunno how good those are.

RIM is rather unclear on what this phone supports... For example, I can't find any documentation as to whether it's Bluetooth 1 or Bluetooth 2 (which leads me to assume it's 1.0). BT1 doesn't have the bandwidth to stream full quality audio. Fine for voice, sucks for music.

I'd hope it does 2.0, but I haven't seen it on many phones yet. My Pioneer car stereo does BT Audio and headset. I'll try it today.
