Hello,

I am currently useing BES 3.6 but would like to deploy 4.0. I want to install 4.0 on a test server and have aprox. 10 users running on that test server. During this time i want to keep BES 3.6 up and running for the rest of the users. Can i have both BES 3.6 and 4.0 running on different servers but on the same network with one exchange environment?

I just want to ensure that BES 4.0 is not going to conflict with 3.6 when i am testing.

I'm doing it right now.

Although we're about to upgrade our production server to 4.0. But currently, we're running a 4.0 test BES and a 3.6 production BES. You'll use the same BES administrator service account. Obviously, you'll designate a different database (you may want to put it local on the BES if its in test, unless you want to replicate your current production environment (although I'm not sure how you have that setup either)).

Anyhow, you'll be fine. No conflicts whatsoever.

You will need another SRP ID from RIM. If you call them, they will give you a temp SRP for your migration.
