I like it you might too!

oh and I love this site Phone Recording Archive then for the people you don't want to call you anymore you can add this Name: wav.png

This is an AWESOME! Find.

For that horrible out of town contact this thread should be subscribed to by all you professionals that have a stalker from your one night stand with - ladies are just as guilty as players not just the men ;).

Although unprofessional it gets the point across.

Really cool idea. Too bad it's not compatible with Rogers.

what I did was just take it from my temp files. if you have FireFox look at your downloads and then right click and click on containing folder and it will take you to where it put it to play it in media player or whatever your using.

This is looks great. Looks like I could have so much fun with this. However, I am a little wary of posting my cell # in there, as I am with most other sites that require for your cell #.

Are you 100% this site is legit and won't start giving your # out to everyone?

Default YouMail is legit!

This site is 100% legit. I've been using them for a couple months, and they're flawless. Excellent tech support (they're still small, so your answer comes from someone in-the-know).

the only issue I have had with YouMail is that they currently cannot light T-Mobile's 'voicemail waiting' indicator. I'm set up so they SMS + eMail me when I have a voicemail, so I don't miss anything. All in all, it is a great service.

So by that you mean that if you get a voicemail from Tmob using YouMail's custom feature the phone doesn't give you the "you have a new voicemail" prompt when you look at it?

Correct. That was my biggest beef when I switched my voicemail over. I thought it was going to be a dealbreaker, but the SMS + eMail has ended up working out fine for me. I don't typically have many missed calls, so whenever I see I missed a call, I unlock my phone, and I will see a SMS 'voicemail from Joe Cell at 312-555-1212. Call xxxx to listen' message. Also, it sends an email to my home account (I don't send it to work, because my BB already has the SMS).

So, like I said, I thought it was a dealbreaker, but it really isn't. Go on and give it a try, it's free, and is pretty easy to switch back to T-Mo's voicemail if you want to. Having a web interface to your voicemail is spectacular. I love the custom greetings, I screw with my friends all the time. 'Hey xxx, how's it going? (long pause)... Just messing with you, you got my voicemail. Leave a message.'

I haven't used the 'dump' feature yet, but am considering using it on the 'main number' that shows up from work when they call!!

Default works with rogers

Mandizzle,

I have Rogers and set it up today - it works great. I just told them that I used Cingular (that is who I roam to when in Detroit).

The only deal is that you have to dial California for VM, but I use the email feature and get it that way most of the time anyway.

YMM,

Tysonb

This is the response that I got when I asked about the voicemail indicator not going off:

With standard notification, what is supposed to happen is that whenever a voicemail is left, the voicemail indicator on your phone will notify that you have voicemail. The way this is achieved is by sending a TXT SMS message, technically it is a TXT message being sent but it does not show up as a TXT message. At the moment we are only able to send the notification once, until you have listened to all of the messages in your inbox, then as soon as you receive new voicemail we will be able to send another notification.

So Once your mailbox ios emptry, it will trigger the notification and only once until you listen to all your messages.

When you say "So Once your mailbox is empty..." that means than if you are left 4 viocemails you get one TXT as notification, and you will not receive another notification until you clean out the mailbox, right?

When do you think they will begin charging for this service and how much do you think it will be??

I cannot get the "number disconnected" wav to upload to the site. It gives me a message that says it can only use standard wav files.

I used Sound Recorder (the one that comes with Windows) and converted the file to cd quality and was able to upload it. Hope this helps!
