Hello All,

I'm running BES 4.1 sp3 on exchange. Should I be able to open .jpg, .tiff and .bmp attachments from the handheld?

Note: I can open multiple other attachments just fine. Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

Make sure the BlackBerry Attachment service is running on the BES (it is by default) and make sure you have the BB Attachment service/application loaded on the handheld. Should be listed in Options > Advanced Options > Applications.

And dumb question, but you are using a color handheld right?

Yes to color handheld. I'm using a 8700.

Are you the admin? Do you have a custom IT Policy? Try testing the attachment server via "Blackberry Server Configuration"

I'am the admin. We do not have a custom IT policy. I tested it and it converts fine.

On the attachment server tab, cofiguration options. If it is set to: Connector Configuration, I don't see those file types as options. If I change it to: attachment server, I see those filet types as options.
