i LOVE it!! Its a step up from the sidekick 3 which i found way too restrictive. I have been with TMO since 2005 and this is by far the best phone ive owned. I switch phones more girls do purses. Sorry ladies!

The Sidekick 3's battery is almost bigger than the Pearl!lol.. I traded mine for the Pearl too.

glad you enjoy your bb. not many people switch and regret it. the wifey had a cingular 8125 and gave me shit about my love for my 8700. she didnt want to switch because she is a lefty and did not want something so bulky. sure enough pearl came out she switched, "best phone ever!!" - her words. since i have had mine i got 2 buddies, wifey, and soon my younger bro will be getting one.
I just got mine on Tuesday - and I am in love! It is such a great fun little phone/pda. I'm getting used to the keyboard pretty fast - just takes practice.
I also got mine on Tuesday and, except for a "small" problem with getting it set up on the BES at work (apparently some of Cingy's csr's don't know the difference between BES and BIS and don't know that they don't know, but I digress) it has been a terrific experience. My 7290 looks like a cinder block next to it! Suretype is taking me a little time but I'm getting it. I'm very pleased with the switch.
