Hi all, I need a little help all the phones I have had in the past you could have each contact with there own text message tone. It says its possible in the help section on my blackberry in the notification profiles but i can't seem to get it to work. Anyone figure out how to make this work?

I don't believe you can assign unique tones to contacts on a blackberry device.

I do not see that as an option. I believe you can only put in a unique ringtone, and picture for a call, not a text message.

you can't assign specific tones for txt messages for contacts, only ringtones. You can however assign different tones for level 1, MMS, and email messages. You can also assign specific tones for each email account.

Just look under profiles > edit profile

On the phone i went to the help icon and to Notification profiles then to custom notification and the second dot down say "set custon notification for calls or messages form a specific contact" have you checked this out it says its possible but i sure cant figure it out.

that only allows you to create an exception for a contact's ringtone, not their txt message.

What kind of messages is it taking about? In the help menu under notification profiles, custom notification, set custom notification for calls or MESSAGES from a specific contact.
