Default problems with sound on Pearl??

Please Login to Remove!

HELP! My Red Pearl is acting up. I've had it for exactly a month.
As of yesterday, the sound works when I have it on Speakerphone or with the Handsfree set on.... if i just want to talk on the phone, it connects the call but no sound. I tried again this morning and the sound was cutting in and out for a few seconds, then disappeared.
I tried the Soft Reset and the Battery Pull.. didn't help....

The Pearl has NOT had water damage or exposure, has not been dropped, etc...

What is going on? Is it some kind of a bug or a bigger problem?

Any input would be appreciated greatly!!

try upgrading the OS and see if that helps, that would be my recommendation, other then that maybe others will chime in.

What's the newest OS that doesn't have a bunch of bugs? I had one of the 4.2.1.XXX ones and it was a PITA, with ring issues and text repeat rate issues. Did those get worked out?

I just experienced the same problem, worked with TMobile customer support and have a new Pearl on the way. They could not explain the problem.

Oh well.

I've made an interesting observation, it appears that a good bit of the problems I've read happen to have service wtih T-Mobile. Or is this a coincidence?
Lyoshka, I brought up the question in an earlier thread that why would a provider sell you a phone that didn't have the current or updated OS? I have AT&T and was not informed that I was purchasing a phone that didn't have the updated OS. Fortunately, my BB does what I need without installing ANY other application.

Good luck,
Rolo
