Pearl used in HBO's John From Cincinnatti

Towards the end, some chick and Luke Perry's charactars email or sms each other and they show them both using Pearls. They even showed them again in next week's previews. I don't have the knowledge on how to do screencaps but I took photos using my own Pearl.
Just thought it was interesting to see. This show was a little iffy so I am not sure if this is good or bad advertising.
