Default Loyal Mac user and BB homie!

Guys,

I really like my blackberry for her and don't want to HAVE to switch to iphone. Maybe some one can help me.

simply put when I try to sync with pocketmac with the wife's new 8300 I can not get her Now up-to date calanders to sync. I get a message error:

I am unable to preform a first sync with my wife's new blackberry 8300
curve, and pocketmac, version, 4.0 with my NOW contact, version 5.3.1
She's on an intel Imac, (brandnew machine) running Mac OSX 10.4.9

When I try to sync after a fresh install. I get the following error
message:

"[07:50.37.868] error encountered -19986 in GetContactField"

I have tried:

repaired permissions
Uninstalled and reinstalled.
resetting all sync services
resetting the device sync services
removed plists files etc etc. then reinstalled / restarted program.

I really want this to work, with my NOW contact program. I have also
tried to overwrite device instead of sync both ways, but nothing
seems to work. I get that same error message every-time.

Can anybody please help me. My wife is looking at me like, "what you get me into now, ass boy".

I tried to sync Now to apple's address book with their Now sync tool thinking that I would then just ditch NOw and get my wifes info on to her curve with apple addy book and I cal but Now gives me THE SAME ERROR MESSAGE.

It says that the "text strings are too long." It gives the same error number, "-19986"

Please help me if you can, and thanks in advance.

First of all, LOL @ "ass boy"

1. Open Address Book
2. File > Backup Address Book...
3. Save the file somewhere in your Documents folder
4. Delete all of your contacts in Address Book
5. Close Address Book
6. Delete ~/Library/Application Support/AddressBook/AddressBook.data (and AddressBook.data.previous if it exists)
7. Delete ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.AddressBook.plist
8. Empty the Trash
9. Use the Now-to-Address Book sync application to transfer your contacts to Address Book

If you get the same error, then it means that some string in one of your Now records is too long to be handled by Address Book. Do any of your contacts contain some info in some sort of lengthy note field? It will only take one bad record to crash the whole thang.

If you need to, you can always restore your Address Book back to the way it was by File > Revert to Address Book Backup.
