before installing the verizon software upgrade on the 8830 i had the option when deleting emails to delete ony on the blackberry or on both the bb and my general mailbox. now when i hit delete it only gives an option of delete or cancel. when hitting delete it only deletes from the bb but not the general mailbox. how can i get that original feature back?

While in your messages, go into options, Click on email reconciliations. There is an option to delete on. There will be handheld, mailbox and handheld and prompt. It sounds like your device is on prompt.

Go into Messages Options, select Email Reconciliation, make sure that Wireless Reconcile is set to "On", and Delete On is set to "Prompt". When I did the upgrade it changed the Delete On setting and I had to reset it to "Prompt". Hope that helps.

if you set it to prompt, it will delete in both places. Just remember if you are using outlook, to do a reconcile now from the blackberry menu before you empty your deleted items folder. If you delete the folder before the blackberry see's what messaages to delete, the folder is empty and the BB will keep your deleted items because it doesn't have anything in your folder to compare it to. Just food for thought.

thanx i just realized i have 2 email accounts on the bb and was only configuring one of them and thats why the other was not working
